Warm Welcome at Kenosha Writers’ Guild

It was a delightful group of writers — nearly 20 strong — who welcomed me to the Kenosha Writers’ Guild regular meeting last night We shared a bit of our writing backgrounds (some really exciting projects afoot among those in the group!) and then dropped into a few writing exercises a la “Write ’til You’re Blue in the Face.” I was more than impressed with the energy of this all-volunteer group as well as the wide range of writing interests of its the members. I left (albeit reluctantly) with a copy of Straylight Literary Arts Magazine (Thanks, Jan!) and a strong wish I lived a little closer so I could make it to more of the group’s meetings.

Many thanks to Jen, Lisa and Jenny, and all the other writers for their enthusiastic participation. Kenosha has a rare and wonderful gem in this organization!
